STORYLINE: Composer Steven Lauddem is creatively blocked and unable to finish the score for his big comeback opera. At the behest of his wife Patricia, formerly his therapist, he sets out in search of inspiration. What he discovers is much more than he bargained for, or imagined
The rom-com genre hit its peak when Harry and Sally met and Seattle had its sleepless night. Since the hey ray of the genre there have been some note worthy entries, Silver Linings Playbook and Love Actually to name them. Otherwise it is a cookie cutter genre where the depth and surprise has long since gone.
I went to see She Came to Me well aware of this fact. I am a fan of stars Peter Dinklage, Anne Hathaway, and Marisa Tomei.
I like emerging from my seat surprised at the fact I throughly enjoyed a rom com.
She Came to Me had a fair amount of depth to its story and sone pretty unique moments in that story. The movie tackled a handful of serious issues as well as its comedic plot line. I appreciated that the movie was had a more serious tone to it than the trailer led me to believe. Overall I admit I enjoyed myself while watching this flick.
Until next time I hope to see you at the movies!
