STORYLINE: Po is gearing up to become the spiritual leader of his Valley of Peace, but also needs someone to take his place as Dragon Warrior. As such, he will train a new kung fu practitioner for the spot and will encounter a villain called the Chameleon who conjures villains from the past.

     I have been a fan of the Kung Fu Panda franchise since it made its cinematic debut in 2008.  Over the years many great actors have contributed their voice talents to the franchise including Jack Black, Duston Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Bryan Cranston, and more.  Joining the ensemble this time around is Awakfina and the always incredible Viola Davis.  I loved listening to them embrace their characters in the film.  It added to an atmosphere of fun I’m a franchise full of fun.

     The question though is Kung Fu Panda 4 the best in the franchise? No it’s not. The first one still holds that honor. However the fourth entry is still as fun and entertaining as two and three.  The srqisls set an entertaining bar and the fourth met it,

    The animation in the film is still on the same level as the franchise.  It didn’t excite me as other animated films like 2023’s The Boy and The Heron or Spider-Man Across the Spiderverse but those were exoevtionally well done and visually a feast to look at.  Kung fu Pamda 4 still looked good just those looked better.
