STORYLINE: An adventure racer adopts a stray dog named Arthur to join him in an epic endurance race.
Over the years I have become a fab of Mark Wahlberg movies. I havea enjoyed dramatic films such as as The Departed and Patriots Day, comedies such as Ted and The Other Guys, and a variety of others such as the remake of The Italian Job. Needless to say Mark Walhberg was a draw when I purchased my ticket to see his latest film, the true adventure racing film Arthur the King.
My expectations were to be entertained by the movie and enjoy the performance of Mark Wahlberg. That is exactly what I did during the movie. I was throughly entertained, nothing more nothing less.
There were many breathtaking moments during the race. These were exciting to watch,as they were designed to be.
I felt, at times, the story line with the dog was a bit much. If it was not a true story I would be complaining more about it being emotional , which it was, but I have hammered that point in other blogs. This is going to be an unpopular statement but I do not really care for pets but o know others do. In fact I do not look forward to seeing the pets when folks bring the, for the holidays but I ramble. The dog story line in the film I did not care for but I get it is part of the true story being told and did not stop my enjoyment of the movie.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
