STORYLINE – From Director Rose Glass comes an electric new love story; reclusive gym manager Lou falls hard for Jackie, an ambitious bodybuilder headed through town to Vegas in pursuit of her dream. But their love ignites violence, pulling them deep into the web of Lou’s criminal family.

    Kristen Stewart has come along way since her star making role in the Twilight series. There was the thriller Personal Shopper, the rock drama The Runaways, the drama Certain Women, and others among the way.  The latest is the thriller Love Lies Bleeding.  Like the before mentioned films she embraced her role and I throughly enjoyed the performance.

     I loved how much like a Coen brothers movie this was despite not being directed by the Coen brothers. It had rpthat thriller atmosphere found in their movies with the same crazy twists and turns.

    Ed Harris, another actor I enjoy. Portrays the villain of Love Lies Bleeding. His performance creates the suspence that the film’s climax hangs on.  He has done all sorts of characters well and with this creepy is included in that statement. 

   With Love Lies Bleeding 2024 is becoming an entertaining year at the movies.  Let’s hope that trend continues.
