STORYLINE: The Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.
Not every movie has to be epic, the way Oppenheimer was. Movies like the Ghostbusters franchise can also just be fun. You know what? It is okay to mix the art films and the fun films and enjoy seeing both.
My expectations for the latest entry in the Ghostbusters franchise was for it to be a fun watch. I was thrilled when the fifth entry in the franchise ended up being exactly that, a blast to watch.
The two stand outs, who held their own with the reliable veterans Bill Murray, Paul Rudd, and Dan Ackroyd, were McKenna Grace and Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick). McKenna Grace is on her way to becoming a mega star with big tv and movie credits already under her young belt. She has shined in the, all. Kumail Nanjiani has an ackward since of humor that suited his role as the fire master well and he tends to play supporting characters to a T.
Overall I enjoyed myself busting ghosts
with both new and original cast members of the Ghostbusters.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
