I was mixed about the release of Alien: Romulus. I haven’t enjoyed the majority of the entireties in the series, including the two prequel entries. My originations from Disney now owning the franchise. E ter Director Fede Alvarez, wh has crafted a couple of feature films I have throughly enjoyed. Don”t Breathe and The Girl Who Kicked the Spider’s Web instilled some confidence in me. So I decided to set my expectation somewhere in the middle of the road and see where the film landed.
I set down for a Friday matinee, with mypkocorn and soft drink, and as the lights went down I found myself engaged with the story. I will say it took a few minutes longer than longer to get into the story than typical but I got there. Worth my expectation set at the middle of the road Alien: Romulus did not exceed that expectation. Nor did it limbo under that expectation. I enjoyed being at the movies, watching the movie, because I enjoy being at the movies.
I will compare this entry to Aluen 3. Both are not great films, like their predessors. North are entertaining and worth watching at least once and you really don’t have to pay much attention to get what is going on.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
