   Animal movies, especially ones based upon true stories, have a tendency to be overly sentimental. They tend to commit the greatest cinematic sin of the all, over playing the score to tell me how to feel at a given point in the film.  My Penguin Film does not depend on this.   The family friendly true story allows the events to unfold naturally and the storytellers to tell those events on a way that naturally entertains the audience. 

    The film’s two stories work nicely against each other as polar opposites, with the penguin as the connecting link. The first story is the Geary warming tale of a village that rallies behind him. An o Ean way is a scientific research team, tagging penguins and studying penguins. They fallen upon the hero of our film. The two stories are interwoven and provide a nice balance of nature and nurture. 

   My Penguin Friend is a nice mid August release. It is a film for the whole family to see just as school is to resume.  It is the kind of family film that not only kids can be entertained by but their parents as well. 

    As I close let me share this belief about children’s films. That belief is why should they be subjected to lesser quality movies then adults just because they are children.  My Lenguin Friend is a high caliber film.
