Do you want to hear a not so well kept secret? I like bad horror films. There is a catch though, there has to be a since of fun to them. There are many fun examples of these films such as Piranha (1978), Halloween III: Seasom of the Witch (1982), and Scream (1996).
The Front Room, the recent 2024 release is not one f those films. It is not fun. It is just bad. It is so bad it is annoying. The story seems simple enough where the scares could be good but they never come to be and the story is left hanging out in the wind.
What made this film annoying, for me, were the characters. All the characters did was complain about each other. It got old. Then it got annoying. The popcorn lasted longer then that process. The way I eat that should not happen.
At least there have been plenty of other films, some of them even within the horror genre, this year I have enjoyed. There are still plenty to see between now and the end of the year.
Until next time I will see you at the movies
