STORYLINE: Feeling as if he unfairly cheated death too many times, Shikishima, a surviving Kamikaze pilot, is attacked on Odo Island along with many war plane engineers by a gargantuan monster. After the engineers die because of Shikishima failing to distract the monster, an overwhelming amount of guilt weighs on him, especially after a homeless woman and a baby move into his home when he returns. Shikishima, now on a personal mission, teams up with a large group of veterans to finally take down the monster known as Godzilla. (IMDb)

    Monsters go ‘ROARRR!’ Tuesday night night we assembled for our weekly good time to watch the Academy Award winning Godzilla Minus One.

   I had missed the movie when initially played in theaters and when asked what to watch in the new year suggested this one.  I got super excited when it was put on the schedule as the first of the new year.  (No pressure to get that one right huh?).

    The 124 minute movie was a blast to watch. After all it’s a traditional Godzilla movie.  It’s one that has a fun story, visual effects that are cool to look at, over the top action sequences, and a line or two of corny dialogue mixed in.  It’s kind of like this movie was customized for my entertainment.

     Adding to this was it was the Tuesday night movie night.  This weekly tradition is something I look forward to.  Adding in that contributed ,ore than any over the top action sequence, corny line of dialogue, or cool visual effect.
