NIVUE THEATER SNACKS and ME

I am a movie theater junkie.   It’s no secret there.  I advocate for this over streaming services. The secret, dear readers, that y’all may of figured out is I am a creature of habit. I have my favorite seat, front row, on the right.  If I can’t sit in that seat, I get as close to it as I possibly can.

This fondness of repetition extends to my concession order as well.  Please ask those on the other side of the snack bar, they are all to familiar with my standard order of a small buttered popcorn and large soft drink with little ice.  I even enjoy a cocktail post movie, when a bar is available at a theater, and the bartenders will also attest to me having a standard order.  (Hello to those concessionaires and bartenders, that I see on a regular bases, reading this entry. Thank you for putting up with me).  Those orders are standard, for me, across all theaters I attend, frequently or otherwise.

To answer the burning question on everyone’s mind, yes popcorn tastes different from theater to theater.  Some theaters use real butter others well I am on a need to know bases, and I need to know I enjoy it.

Some theaters include a speciality popcorn on their menu in addition to the basic popcorn.  If I am visiting for the first time I like to try my standard small buttered popcorn. After all this is my standard order, and I am a creature of habit.  Upon repeat visits I will and have ventured out to try some of these popcorns. While I have enjoyed them I have always returned to my standard order.

Yes I enjoy the odd candy selection.  Junior mints are my favorite movie theater treater candy. Peatut M n’ M’s are a good second.  I do enjoy mixing them in the buttery goodness of the popcorn.

Movie theaters depend on the success food and drink sales to stay afloat.  It’s an economic decision to enjoy a tasty treat.  Plus thetrre are some awesome folks popping the corn and I enjoy saying hello and getting to know them.

So what do you pick up at the concession stand to enjoy on the way to your seat?

Cheers until the next time I see you at the movies!
