What a random list of movies to start this b,of entry, isn’t it? However this a common thread. Ok the common thread is limited to me.  The films are part of my bucket list of movies to see on the big screen.  This past week I checked off To Kill a Mockingbird (1962) from that list.

The first time I saw the movie was in high school, after reading the book.  This was way back in my freshmen year in high school. (I wonder how true this is for many folks).  I did not appreciate what I had seen until later life.  We change as people and things we appreciate change with us.

So what changed for me between freshmen year of Hugh school and 2025?  Is it life I lived along the way?  People that have come, gone, and stayed in my life?  A combination of both?  Refardless somewhere along the way I rewatched the movie on dvd around 2010 and it clicked for me.  I have yet to read the book again.  That is nothing against the book but more for my fondness of cinema.

This raises the question what other films should I revisit from that tine period in my life,  that includes ones I was so fond of to see if they had the reverse trajectory.

Until next time I will see you at the movies!
