Let’s start with me on my high horse. By now I am assuming my readers are aware of the antics around ‘chicken jockey’. As a film goer it’s annoying to have popcorn and soda thrown in my direction especially because I have to sit in the front. (I sit there because of vision issues as part of my long term Covid.). There are people whose job it is to clean that mess up, they are nice people, abd I proudly consider some of these fine folks among my friends. Why make there jobs more difficult? Also popcorn tends to be pricey WHY ARE YOU SPENDING THAT MUCH MONEY TO TOSS IT LIKE THAT? Finally, and o have seen these videos, if you are going to do this, keep it to refreshments, don’t be stupid abd bring in fireworks.
I went on a Thursday afternoon at 2pm, to avoid the chi Jen jockey shenanigans and was successful thete.
I have never played Minecraft. Never really wanted to. I had a tough time getting into the movie, not for my lack of experience with the game, but I just found it unfunny. The story was not engaging for me either. If you want an example of a movie I enjoyed where I have not played the game I give you 2023’s Dungeons and Dragons starring Chris Pine.
Jack Black is also hit or miss for me. I liked School of Rock (2003) and The Holiday (2006) but I was not a big fan of Nacho Libre (2006).
Circling back to my opening statements do enjoy yourselves at the movies. I am asking that you be respectful of others in attendance and of those who work at the theaters, whether they sell you the popcorn, scan the ticket, or clean up the auditorium.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
