   With a bang The Tom Cruise Mission Imposdible Final Reckoning  jumps into cinemas and kick starts the 2025 summer b,ockbydter movie season!! It’s a great choice to start the summer season. It’s part of reliable franchise, has a mega star in the lead, and gets film goers excited to go to the movies!

    There were moments latest abd final entry in the franchise has everything I have come to expect in a Mission Impossoble film. It starts with a plot that sets up many action sequences. The formula adds in over the top stunts and an all star supporting cast. 

    The majority of the franchise hace have stand features. The Final Reckoning is the second half to the seventh entry, Dead Reckoning. My annoyance is noth films approach the three hour marker. If a film a full story in three hours, the story drags, and can become unnecessarily convoluted. This bookend doesn’t quite get there, luckily.

    For an action film there is a lot of talking and not a lot doing. The film could of gotten to it faster by cutting out unnecessary repetition. Adding to the bloated runtime is the action sequences themselves. While they are exciting they tend to run om a few minutes to long. 

    There is no need to see the first half of the two part film. The first half hour is sober summing up the almost three hours of Dead Reckoning.

   Final Reckoming is filled with nostalgia for the evture franchise. There are snippets sprinkled in from the previous films.  I enjoyed those brief moments.  If you blink you will miss them, including one of the legendary late Phillip Seymour Hoffman. 

    The stunts Tom Cruise performed were exciting, abd at times over the top.  These I have come ti expect from his career,  I continue to enjoy watching him perform these. 

    This was an e voting first film of the 2025 summer blockbuster season, even if it’s not the greatest every in the franchise.
