    Its basic Hollywood mathematics, when a film is popular, it makes money, the idea of a sequel will bring in more money.  The horror genre tends to be one of the most successful gevres at the box office.  So sequels within this genre tend to get made fast and often. After all how many entries in the Halloween and Friday the 13th francines are there?  It’s been two years since Megan booted its way onto the big screen and now the sequel lights up the silver screen. 

     Megan 2.0 follows the Terminator franchise trajectory. In the first feature Megan is the villain abd like in the Terminator sequel, Megan appears as the hero of the film.  It’s predictable, since both films deal with some form of A.I.

    Megan 2.0 suffers from the sequel slump. The dialogue left a lot to be desired I thought the first feature had sone witty moments written in to the story and this sequel lacked those moments. Also the dialogue over simplified what was glong on in the plot.

   The action sequesteres worked for me.  They were the right amount of over the top.  With that said the sequel tried to balance the action with the horror and failed.   The movie ended up being more of a cheesy action film then a cheesy horror film.  I was disappointed because I liked the horror aspects of the first feature.

   Yea this film was a step down from its predessor.  Hopefully the third one, that was set up for, will be a return to form.
