JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH (2025)

STORYLINE: Five years post-Jurassic World: Dominion (2022), an expedition braves isolated equatorial regions to extract DNA from three massive prehistoric creatures for a groundbreaking medical breakthrough.  (IMDb)

I remember the summer of 1993, when all the rage was dinoeaurs roaring their out of extinction and on to the big screen.  That younger, but still adorable version of myself I keep writing about, was completely mesmerized.  I was thrilled when the T-Rex stepped out of its pen to snack on that car.  I jumped as the raptors stalked their prey through the kitchen. Now we are many years since that visual feast and the seventh film in the franchise has been released into theaters.

The franchise has traded the thrills of seeing dinosaurs thst once roamed the planet for cheesy hybrid dinosaur monsters. This has changed a thrilling film to a film I doubt I will remember in the months to come.

The two hour fifteen minute runtime eas thirty minutes to long. The majority of that was in the first half of the unevenly paced half of the film. Had the this portion gotten over trying to be Haws abnd gotten on track with being a Jurassic Park creature feature thst would have solved that problem.

I am a fan of Mahershala Ali and love watching Scarlett Johanssen in film.  The pairing of the two excites me.  I came out of Jurassic World: Rebirth thrilled getting to watch the two interact together on screen.

This franchise will not go extinct.  Hopefully future entrees will have more of a roar to them, abd be memorable.

Until next time I will see you at the movies!
