It’s a well known secret I watch, and enjoy, a wide variety of films. From drama to horror, with all points in between I like to cast a wide net when watching movies. Films about robberies cast such a net. There’s films that are fast and exciting (Baby Driver – 2017, He’ll or High Water – 2016) as well as dramatic (The Score – 2001). Going in Style (1979) stole with a since of humor while Don’t Breathe (2016) scared us during a robbery. Now Roofman has been released in theaters , a true story about the Roof Top Robber, in North Carolina.
There are films that are so bizarre, how could they now be true. 2011’s Bernie, starring Jack Black, falls under this umbrella. Roofman fits this category, with its story of robbery, jail break, love, and deceit. These kinds of films tend to have a wow factor for me that other biopics do not. That’s because the events in the film Jace a few more twists and turns.
The true story behind this feature film sat at a great crossroads. For me, intriguing and entertaining. The unique events that led to the story easily put t
Roofman at that crossroads.
As a side note, bring a North Carolina based native I enjoy seeing films about North North Carolina. It’s a bit of hometown pride. Roofman checked that box.
Roofman checked all the boxes to be an entertaining and fasinating film.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
