STORYLINE: Nuremberg chronicles the eponymous trials held by the Allied Forces against the defeated Nazi regime. Military legal thrillers is a niche genre of film. Though a small genre of film, there are titles to see. Judgement at Nuremberg (1961), A Few Good Men (1992), and The Mauritanian (2021) all jump to the front of the line. This early November weekend, the latest military legal thriller, Nuremberg, gavels into theaters.
The story, with its ensemble, is a unique WWII film. It is not about troops in combat, it is after the war, and about accountability for it. It shows the psychological need to hold a trial, so those who were accountable for that war face Justice. This is what makes this a fasinating feature film, and is why it is classified as a military legal thriller.
The ensemble features Russell Crowe, Rami Malek, Micheal Shannon )Man of Steel, 2013) and John Slattery (TV’s Mad Men). The actors bring a variety of talents to a variety of roles. The highlight being Michael Shannon, as the American prosecutor.
The film focuses on an important part of history, woth a great cast at the helm. The two and a half hour runtime of Nuremberg was well worth the price of admission.
Until next time I will see you at the movies!
