YOU, ME, & TUSCANY (2026)

STORYLINE: When a woman crashes at an empty Italian villa, posing as the owner’s fiancée, she discovers an unexpected romance that could transform her life. (IMDb)

Italy is a place to love, laugh, eat, and enjoy motion pictures about such subjects. I fell in love with Letters to Juliet (2010) the first time I saw it, and have often given the dvd away as a holiday gift.  (Any friend I haven’t given  a copy to yet,

let me know and act surprised at the end of the year). I laughed and got hungry watching the buddy comedy The Trip to Italy (2014).  You, Me, & Tuscany is a new romantic comedy set in the country of love.

Romantic comedies follow a pretty cookie cutter pattern.  They fit into a pattern of finding love in unexpected places or circumstances.  You, Me, & Tuscany fits the mold of the typical rom com.  It has the meet cute moment as well as the angst filled will they or won’t they moments.  It’s a Cinderella story.

Within the cookie cutter story are the fun moments that makeup a romantic comedy.  These are the kind of moments that you tend to watch once, to see how this film did it, then they typically don’t hold up to rewatch.  I don’t see You, Me, & Tuscany breaking that tradition.  I’ve only seen it the once, at this point.

This film has the visual appeal of the Italian vineyard setting.  This setting creates many gorgeous scenic views throughout the film.  They’re also some great cookies to watch.  The food looks just as fantastic as the scenery does.

Regé-Jean Page was the true star of the motion picture.   I haven’t seen Bridgerton, but did see him in Dungeons abd Dragons (2023) and 2025’s Black Bag. With those three films I have enjoyed each performance.

You, Me, & Tuscany was a romantic comedy with a cookie cutter story set in Italy, that was gorgeous to watch.

Until next time, I will see you at the movies!
