I will own it, proudly I am a fan of The Twilight film franchise. Obviously because you are reading an entire blog entry dedicated to it.  Is it my favorite franchise? No, that is reserved for a certain 00 agent but I still throughly enjoy a franchise full of teen angst, sparkly vampires, and sulking werewolves.  

    The question you are asking yourself, at this point, is why?  Well this rant may answer it but realistically may end up being more nostalgia for me. 

    I enjoy corny films, which at its heart is Twilight.  I prefer a bad since of humor laced with eye rolling puns. 

    What the Twilight Saga (yes I am using the word saga) offers me are memories with a close friend.  I get the impression she thinks of herself as that big sister figure.  At least thats how I view her and that’s ok.

    I have lost count of the number of times we have recalled the story of the ladies toasting the wedding at the midnight showing of Breaking Dawn part 1, while we quoted Charlie’s toast ourselves, and a year later that same group walking out upset seconds before the big reveal. 

   We routed on the baseball game in the first film and groaned at how legitimately bad of a movie Eclipse ended up being. 

   The first memory, and my favorite, was when we worked together at A Southern Season. She wanted to borrow my dvd and I brought it into work, despite being neighbors. She was being shy about it and I, naturally, had to attempt to embarrass her about her ny raising my voice and pointing saying ‘Twilight. We got Twilight here!’  She will have to let you know if I was successful in my teasing. 

    Yea I am a Twilight fan. I own my fandom. Soon I will be going to a repertory screening of Breaking Dawn oart 2 and I couldn’t be more excited.  Just like I was when I got to see Breaking Dawn part 1 again on the big screen again. Ok over the last year all five films have played and I was excited to see them again on the big screen.
