   The Italian Job (2003), The Expendables film series, The Meg (2018), and The Beekeeper (2024) are all fine examples of action packed movies, starring Jason Stratham.  His latest action packed flick, Shelter, has now found its way to the silver screen. 

   Much like the story in films such as The Beekeeper or 2025’s A Working Man, in Shelter Jason Statham plays a loner type who mysteriously has an advanced military like skill set. Circumstances force these skills out of retirement, so he can be a heroic good guy. This formula has been a success for the action star.  In this feature, just like others in the past, is mindless and, if it’s your kind of thing like it is mine, it’s highly entertaining.  

   As per the norm, the action sequences are well choreographed, a bit over the top, and have that touch of adrenaline mixed into them.  Every punch heard, and kick felt. The action was exciting to watch.  They, also, play well in the context of the story. 

   If action movies are your thing, Jason Statham’s Shelter is worth watching.  It’s just like a lot of other films he has made.
