   In 1995, Pixar brought a new kind of film to theaters, fro, beyond infinity, with the first full length, CGI, animated feature film, in Toy Story.  Since then Monsters Inc (2001) was established, The Incredibles (2004) saved the day, Finding Nemo (2003) became necessary, and many other Pixar adventures have been brought to the big screen!  The Toy Story franchise continues to find its way to theaters, this warm June weekend, with its latest entry Toy Story 5. 

     I am a child of the 90s, which means I grew up during that decade.  I was the target demographic for the dawn of Pixar.  As I grew up the meaning of their films has changed for me, but never that aww of watching one, or the anticipation of the latest release.  Toy Story 5 is no exception to that.

    This is a franchise that has not lost its quality, with time.  Toy Story 3 (2010) still remains the highlight of the series. That statement is not meant to diminish the quality of the fifth entry.

   The movie shifts the central character from spaceman Buzz Lightyear and cowboy Woody, two the sheriff of Jesse, and puts the two previous leads in supporting roles. This film is her adventure.   

   Additionally the movie looks at how technology is a factors into a child’s social growth.  The world, has changed in the thirty plus years since the initial film was released, and looking at how that effects the children’s social growth creates an ingesting thesis for a kids motion picture. It seems designed to create talking points for parents and little ones.

    Toy Story 5 still is an exciting adventure, to behold.  It is a true sequel, and pretty much updates the original adventure from thirty sone years ago, but still is an exciting roller coaster ride.

     Toy Story 5 updates the initial Pixar film, for modern audiences. Iy ford do with an exciting retelling of the original adventure.
