    Bankers beware, there’s a new heist flick about bank robbers making the rounds. Carolina Caroline is the latest heist film, to rob banks, and joins such features as Inside Job (2006), Babdits (2001), Hell or High Water (2016), and the greatest heist film of all time, 1995’s Heat.

     Bank robbery features, are heist movies, with a specific target: banks. Not all heist films, where the goal is to steal money, targdt banks.  Oceans 11 (2001), for instance, robbed a casino.  Carolina Caroline the pair of theives robbed banks throughout yhr southeast. 

     The story in Carolina Caroline is a simple one.  A small town girl falls in love with a drifter, con man.  They hit the road, to find her estranged mom, and along the way have a crime spree. It’s a girl meets boy story gone wrong kind of movie.  

    Carolina Caroline features the thrills that are stereotypical kind of a heist film.  The film has its moments of panic from the two robbers, a car chase, and gun play during the film as part of those thrills.  They are all nothing more than mediocre, mindless entertainment.  Carolina Caroline is a far cry from the caliber film that is Heat or Inside Man.  Thay doesn’t stop it from being entertaining enough of a motion picture. 

     Carolina Caroline hit the spot, as an entertaining heist feature film.
