   It was an adrenaline filled thrill ride that Jason Statham took cinema goers on in The Transporter (2002).    In 2010, he joined the ensemble known as The Expendables, as they went on an action packed tour of duty to save the world.  Jason  Statham showed his comedic side, as he starred along side Melissa McCarthy, in the espionage spoof Spy (2015).  Everything went swiwimgly as he battled sharks in The Meg (2018) and it’s 2023 sequel.  The latest action packed, Jason Statham flick, Mutiny, has sailed its way to the big screen.

    Much like the features of Chuck Norris, the majority of Jason Statham films have a tendency to be clear cut, good guy v bad guy action movies. The stories are straight forward, with no twists and turns.  The action sequences are usually over the top, and often are him v multiple baddies, at once.  This is what I expected out of Mutiny, and it’s exactly what I got.

  Mutiny features all the normal tropes, I have come to expect, and honestly, enjoy from one of these movies. As previously mentioned the plot is straight forward, so all I had to, when I sat down, was sit back, and enjoy the predictability of the motion picture.  That predictability included those over the top action sequences, that I mentioned a paragraph ago, that I have to enjoy. Mutiny is overacted, across the board, adding to the fun of the film.  

   The inner film nerd in me wants to point something out.  Between this feature film, Plane, and his role in the Fast and the Furious films Jason Statham has done movies with just about every mode of transportation there is available. It seems destined that he will make a movie where he saves the day on a train at some point.

     For movie goers who are fans of Jason Statham films, or just action films in general, Mutiny seems like the kind of movie thay will not disappoint.
