Not all spy movies are the action packed features, that are the James Bond movies, or the tense true stories like Zero Dark Thirty. Wild Horse Nine is a spy movie, with a very dark, and sharp sense of humor to it.
At the heart of Wild Horse Nine, it is a spy movie. It features two CIA agents, who have been working undercover. They take, what appears to be time off. Of course, it’s a spy movie, so nothing is as it seems.
With that said, it’s not a traditional spy film. It has the twists and turns of a spy flick, mixed with the makings of a Buddy comedy. That brand of humor is a dark one.
Wild Horse Nine is the latest film from the director Three Billboards Outside Ebbing MO (2017). Both films convey serious subject matters, in unique ways. Both also geature Sam Rockwell
in a strong supporting role.
This ended up being more then a run of the mill spy flick. Its a clever dark comedy about friendship, and more.
Until next time, I will see you at the movies!
